About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEMH school in Haywards Heath. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and learning challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEMH and ASC needs by delivering tailored learning strategies
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Promote students' emotional and social growth, helping them develop confidence and resilience
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure students receive consistent support
  • Contribute to school life, from helping in classrooms to joining in on extracurricular activities and school events
Requirements
  • Experience working with children (especially with SEMH or ASC) is a plus, but not essential-what really matters is your passion for education and willingness to learn
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills and a positive outlook
