We are seeking an experienced Payroll Lead to join our team at Jenson Fisher Consulting Ltd. As a Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive payroll and pensions service, ensuring timely payments, legal compliance, and excellent customer service.
Main Duties:- **Lead the Payroll Function:** Ensure the effective operation of the payroll function and be accountable for meeting all relevant payroll deadlines.
- **Payroll Compliance:** Ensure that all policies, processes, and procedures relating to payroll and employment tax are reviewed and maintained regularly in line with legislative or best practice changes.
- **Subject Matter Expert:** Work with the payroll team and the wider finance and HR team to be a subject matter expert in all aspects of pensions, employment, and benefits tax, National Insurance, and other associated taxes.
- **Payroll Reconciliation:** Ensure the full reconciliation of payroll, reporting accurately to HMRC and pensions providers.
- **Data Analysis:** Produce relevant data analysis and reporting on all areas of payroll.
- **Third-Party Submissions:** Ensure the submission of relevant data to third parties such as HMRC, ONS, Pensions, etc.
- **Auditor Queries:** Deal with all auditor queries.
- **Team Management:** Manage and motivate direct reports, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the team to enable them to perform to the highest standard to contribute towards achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
- **Highly Experienced Payroll Professional:** Proven experience in payroll, with a strong understanding of pensions and auto-enrolment.
- **Supervisory/Management Experience:** Previous supervisory or management experience in a payroll or finance role.
- **Excellent IT Skills:** Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail, and excellent IT skills, including Excel.
