Job Summary:
First Military Recruitment Ltd is actively seeking a Marine Survey Technician for one of our esteemed clients.

The primary responsibility of the Marine Survey Technician involves the mobilization, operation, and maintenance of survey and positioning systems on offshore assets, both Company and Client operated. Additionally, the role includes providing technical assistance for various local and international projects.


The expectation is to spend approximately 6 months offshore, with individual trips lasting a maximum of 4-5 weeks, although some assignments may be shorter.

The offshore uplift is £195 per day.

This position is particularly suitable for ex-military personnel, and we encourage applications from former service members.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, test, and package equipment prior to deployment according to company standards and protocols.
2. Install, integrate, and commission equipment at both onshore and offshore client sites.
3. Diagnose and identify issues with on-site equipment, providing detailed fault reports.
4. Perform first-line repairs on equipment as necessary.
5. Ensure all deployed assets are maintained and operated in compliance with manufacturer and contractual specifications.
6. Monitor and track all project-related assets during deployment.
7. Maintain comprehensive records of any changes made to setup or maintenance during deployment.
8. Ensure safe and proper storage of equipment and accessories.
9. Represent the company positively, demonstrating excellent customer service and a proactive attitude.

10. Package equipment returning from the vessel for transport, ensuring all documentation is complete and any known damages are reported in advance.

11. Complete project reports, timesheets, and expense forms promptly upon return.

Qualifications and Skills:
- HNC, HND, or BSc in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of three years' experience in offshore survey operations.
- Proficient in seabed mapping, construction support, acoustic positioning, and/or rig positioning.

- Familiarity with the maintenance and operation of industry-standard survey equipment, including DGNSS systems, attitude sensors, telemetry systems, subsea acoustic positioning systems, MBES systems, digital video recording systems, Total Stations, and RTK DGPS systems.

- Knowledge of the EIVA software suite, including NaviPac, NaviScan, AutoCAD (preferred), Excel, and Word.
- Valid driving license.
