About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, working closely with the classroom teacher to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting their academic and personal growth
  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Support the development of positive relationships between students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and respectful learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background, ideally with a degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role, preferably in a secondary setting
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
