The Role

This role will support the compliance function in ensuring that the company's financial services are delivered in a way that meets regulatory requirements and maintains the trust of our customers. The Compliance Executive will be responsible for providing second-line assurance across various product lines, including unsecured personal loans, car finance, and second charge mortgages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the compliance function in ensuring that the company's financial services meet regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Continuously improve Compliance Review systems and processes.
  • Report to management on levels of Compliance Assurance and/or any issues arising from specific monitoring activity.
  • Identify, communicate, and advise on changes in FCA and other associated regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and compliance controls through regular reviews and updates.
  • Provide advice, guidance, direction, and interpretation to the business.
  • Review and approve financial promotions for the business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulation.
  • Handle Compliance queries generated by the organisation in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Provide compliance input into Group developments, including product launches, distribution, and systems developments.

Requirements

  • Able to identify poor customer outcomes and make appropriate recommendations to drive change.
  • Experience in a Compliance role, including performing Monitoring reviews.
  • Sound knowledge of FCA & CCA regulation.
  • Knowledge of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Experience with unsecured personal loans, car finance, and/or second charge mortgages.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Objective, timely, and confident decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
