Quality Assurance Team Leader

Position: Quality Assurance Team Leader at Leonardo

The Radar and Advanced Targeting division in Edinburgh is recognized as a top-tier manufacturer of radar systems, laser technologies, and infrared countermeasure solutions globally.
As a Quality Assurance Team Leader at Leonardo, your role will involve close collaboration with Programme and Project Managers to:
- Pinpoint specific programme and project risks, challenges, and prospects.
- Establish Project Assurance Plans (PAP) that align with the Operational Framework standards.
- Effectively oversee Programme and Project Risks.
- Guide Assurance Teams to fulfill Programme and IPT objectives.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to teams aiming for Quality excellence within the Programme.
- Act as a representative of the Quality function at a senior level with Programme Customers and Suppliers.
- Meet project assurance milestones.
- Produce reports and supporting data as required.
- Facilitate the reduction of Sector Non-Conformance costs.
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or relevant experience in Defence Electronics is preferred.
- Proven expertise in Governance, AS9100 / ISO9001, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Verification, and First Article Inspection.
- A logical thinker capable of translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative working approach.
- Experience in engaging with Customers and Suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience in team development, mentoring, and coaching.
