Wildlife Conservation Trainee

The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Land Management Trainee to join our team in the Avalon Marshes project area. As a key member of our reserves team, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and training in nature conservation and land management.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the reserves team to deliver the Bogs and Bitterns project, contributing to the conservation of species and habitats in the Avalon Marshes.
- Assist the reserves team in maintaining and safely storing tools and equipment at the work base.
As a Land Management Trainee, you will have the chance to develop a range of skills, including:
- Conservation grazing and visitor management
- Publicity and interpretation of wildlife for different audiences
- Site safety and leading groups
- Working with volunteers
The 1-year trainee placement (30 hours per week over 4 days) will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the types of conservation roles available and which suits you best. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including:
