About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our café team at Tesco. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Café Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Café Manager in overseeing daily café operations, ensuring seamless customer experience and efficient service delivery.
  • Support the Café Manager in leading and developing the café team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Contribute to menu planning, inventory management, and sales growth initiatives, working closely with the Café Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with colleagues and customers, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
