About the Role

Mentus Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our psychiatric hospital, which provides a holistic service for women with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to ensure admissions and discharges are made appropriately, while managing bed flow.
  • Monitor and coordinate capacity and flow throughout the hospital, making regular visits to the wards to maintain an accurate bed state.
  • Collect and collate data for Operational Site reports, and report capacity and flow information to site meetings to enable planning and management for the utilisation of in-patient beds.
  • Ensure Bed Management clinical systems are kept updated and accurate, and work independently to audit current processes and suggest ways to implement new strategies to improve patient flow.
  • Liaise with external service providers regarding referrals, and grow and maintain relationships with external agencies.
About the Service

The Hospital offers a flexible environment designed to support each patient's progress along their rehab pathway. The Hospital is a 30-bedded hospital providing a holistic service for women between 18-65 with complex mental health needs that include: personality disorder; serious and enduring mental illness; co-morbidity; and a history of complex trauma.

Requirements
  • A valid NMC PIN
  • Experience working in a mental health environment
  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector, together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care.
  • Experience within similar services
  • Extensive understanding of the Care Quality Commission standards of bed management and operational expectations.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Clinical Lead Nurse role with experience in a similar environment.
  • Full right to work in the UK
