About the Role:
Mentus Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our psychiatric hospital, which provides a holistic service for women with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate capacity and flow throughout the hospital to ensure efficient bed management.
- Make regular visits to wards to maintain accurate bed state and monitor actual and potential discharges in conjunction with nursing staff.
- Collect and collate data for Operational Site reports to inform planning and management decisions.
- Report capacity and flow information to site meetings to enable effective planning and management of in-patient beds.
- Ensure Bed Management clinical systems are kept updated and accurate.
- Audit current processes and suggest ways to implement new strategies to improve patient flow.
- Risk assess patients for transfer to outlying and escalation areas as required.
- Liaise with external service providers regarding referrals and grow and maintain relationships with external agencies.
About the Service:
Our hospital offers a flexible environment designed to support each patient's progress along their rehab pathway. We provide a 30-bedded hospital in Leicester, providing a holistic service for women between 18-65 with complex mental health needs that include personality disorder, serious and enduring mental illness, co-morbidity, and a history of complex trauma.
Requirements:
- Valid NMC PIN
- Experience working in a mental health environment
- Excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector, together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care.
- Experience within similar services
- Extensive understanding of the Care Quality Commission standards of bed management and operational expectations.
- Previous experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Clinical Lead Nurse role with experience in a similar environment.
- Full right to work in the UK
