Job Title: Management Accountant

Axion Moore is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover basis.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to take on a challenging role in a high-growth business. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts for several companies within a group, from trial balance to Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet with analytical notes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing monthly management accounts for several companies within a group
  • Recording fixed asset schedules, depreciation journals, accruals/prepayment calculations and journals, wage reconciliations, other balance sheet reconciliations and various general ledger work
  • Analysing the final set of accounts and making comparisons on prior months and spotting inconsistencies/anomalies
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc improvement projects
  • Assisting the rest of the core team as required
Requirements
  • Fully QBE (CIMA/ACCA not essential but needs to be AAT qualified) and at least 2 years' experience working in a similar role
  • Ability to work to strict monthly deadlines and manage workload accordingly
  • High attention to detail and proactive approach
  • Intermediate – advanced Excel skills
