About The Role

Motability Operations is currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing any bodywork defects on vehicles within our preparation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect all stock vehicles entering the preparation department in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify and document all areas of concern, including scratches, dents, and poor previous repairs.
  • Allocate rectification tasks to the correct department, such as the Bodyshop or SMART repair team.
  • Liaise with the Bodyshop and SMART department management teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues to shift management immediately.
  • Raise any concerns or issues to management as soon as possible.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) attributed to this role.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a similar job role, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt your inspection process as required.

Minimum Criteria
  • A good level of experience within a Vehicle Inspection/Assessment and/or Bodyshop position.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
  • Proven organisational skills and effective communication.
  • Have a flexible and 'can do' approach to work.
  • Ability to work fast and efficiently.
  • Disciplined and process-driven.
  • Fast-paced mindset.
  • Keen eye for detail.
