Housekeeping Support Staff

Ashlea Court Care Home is seeking to hire a Domestic Assistant.
Located in a vibrant urban area, our care home provides Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 86 residents.
As a Domestic Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the cleanliness of the facility and ensure that hygiene standards are adhered to in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Contract Details for Domestic Assistant
- Hourly Rate: £11.44
- Contracted Hours: 28 hours per week
- Pension Scheme
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (based on full-time hours)
- Uniform Provided

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive cleaning service within the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices.
- Implement hygienic work practices relevant to the care home environment.
- Maintain and clean various floor surfaces.
- Care for furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings.
- Sanitize fixtures and fittings and restock supplies as necessary.
- Dispose of refuse appropriately.
- Perform cleaning of vertical surfaces without the use of ladders or lifts.
- Contribute to the daily well-being of residents, assisting them in acclimating to their new surroundings.
- Oversee laundry services, ensuring compliance with guidelines and expectations.
- Safeguard residents' laundry and personal items, ensuring they are labeled and returned appropriately.
- Uphold Health and Safety standards, infection control, and fire safety protocols within the laundry and broader care environment.
- Ensure safe operating procedures are established and followed in the laundry.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain an effective laundry service.
