Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to operate the therapy vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of patients, while also fulfilling therapy assistant duties as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in a flexible work schedule, accommodating the evolving needs of our services.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with specialized therapy professionals to facilitate the movement of patients to various locations.

The main objectives of this position include:

  • Preparing and maintaining the vehicle for patient transport.
  • Safely transporting patients to and from healthcare facilities, rehabilitation units, and their preferred residences.
  • Performing administrative duties related to patient transport and service operations.
  • Assisting with patient access as required.
  • Undertaking therapy assistant responsibilities under the supervision of qualified therapy staff.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
  • NVQ or equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ECDL certification.

Required Experience

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working within an Allied Health Professional (AHP) service.
  • Familiarity with NHS trust operations or similar healthcare/educational environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in community health services.
