Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Service Specialist to join our team at ISS. As a key member of our payroll function, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our employees, ensuring that all payroll-related queries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Fielding first-line queries in the payroll query management system, calls, and email queries from employees on the salaried payroll
- Logging and answering or assigning queries to be resolved in line with departmental SLAs
- Monitoring and chasing outstanding queries on a daily basis
- Delivering a high-quality payroll customer service experience, working with the wider payroll team to create a seamless service for all staff raising a query with payroll
- Supporting the payroll service manager with ad hoc duties in key times of the payroll process
- Collaborating with internal teams to share information and best practice, helping to identify any trends with the queries to help the processing team identify the root cause of issues
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- A passion and demonstrable skill for first-class, professional customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
- IT proficient (including Excel and Outlook); confident in handling and working with data
- Ability to organize and prioritize a workload to meet deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable approach, enabling full support to the team
- Awareness of data privacy and securely handling of employee data
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships within the team and internal stakeholders
