Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Services Specialist to join our dynamic Theatre teams. At the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), we operate a comprehensive range of elective and emergency theatres, encompassing various specialties including General, Thoracic, Robotic, Vascular, Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Emergency, and Obstetrics.

Work Schedule

This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with shifts available across all seven days of the week.

Please indicate your specialty preference in your application: General, Thoracic and Vascular; Urology and Gynaecology; Orthopaedics.

Key Responsibilities

As a Surgical Services Specialist, you will:

  • Function as a competent member of the theatre team, promoting multi-skilling and collaboration among theatre personnel.
  • Be accountable for enhancing your knowledge and professional skills in all aspects of peri-operative care.
  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare services, serving as a role model and embodying NNUH's core values: People-focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity, and Excellence.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner on the appropriate part of the NMC/Health Professional Register

Desirable

  • Post-registration qualification relevant to the clinical area
