Early Years Group Leader Position

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Group Leader to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality activities and ensuring the safety and well-being of our young campers.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement the Early Years Foundation Stages in a fun and engaging way
- Set up and maintain a welcoming and organized base room area
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children
- Deliver a variety of activity sessions as outlined in the timetable
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve our goals
- Act as a Key Worker and maintain accurate records of children's experiences
- Provide active supervision and attention to children at all times
- Plan and deliver activities that cater to the needs and interests of our campers
- Encourage maximum participation and follow OFSTED guidelines
- Take responsibility for the general welfare and safeguarding of children
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and resources
- Facilitate children's development through Explore and Play sessions
- Relevant childcare qualification or working towards one
- Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Aged 18 or over by the start date of the contract
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check or existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to challenging situations and prioritize tasks
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
- Deliver activities that are suitable for children in your care
- Encourage children to participate in new activities and follow the activity programme
- Ensure children behave safely and respect their individual needs
- Follow camp systems and guidelines on good practice in child welfare
- Be a positive role model and promote healthy lifestyles
- Report any concerns regarding Child Protection
- Make reasonable adjustments to accommodate children with additional needs
