Role Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to deliver Process Engineering support to our UK operations, contributing to modifications and projects as necessary.
This position is a contract role with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to regulatory requirements, legislation, and Harbour Energy's HSES Procedures.
- Provide Process Engineering assistance to UK operations.
Accountability and Competence Areas:
- Evaluate and develop potential engineering work scopes aimed at enhancing process safety, environmental standards, reliability, and production efficiency.
- Create and review detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, simulation models, and drawings to meet the engineering requirements of our assets.
- Support the completion of process safety assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA, and address actions arising from these reviews as needed.
- Offer technical support to Operations teams upon request.
- Assist in scrutinizing the technical content, engineering performance, and costs associated with modification projects.
- Contribute to the delivery of Technical Work Management scopes for proposed studies, modifications, and projects.
- Engage in Research and Development initiatives as required.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification (e.g., HND/HNC) along with relevant experience and/or vocational certifications.
- Membership in a professional body working towards Chartership is preferred.
- Experience in operational and engineering roles is advantageous.
- Progressing relevant technical expertise.
- Experience in offshore environments.
- Understanding of processes necessary to achieve HSE objectives and familiarity with the UK regulatory framework.
- Developing knowledge of Harbour Energy's Corporate and Local budget, maintenance, and project management processes and tools.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to teamwork. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative peer group and drive towards optimal business solutions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and networking skills. Ability to build strong relationships and earn respect both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to initiate and implement change.
- Willingness to accept ambitious yet achievable goals and consistently strive to meet them.
- Awareness of Harbour Energy's HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
