About the role:
- To engage with individuals who have adopted street-based living, including rough sleepers and beggars, with the aim of connecting them with appropriate services and supporting them in achieving settled lifestyles.
- To increase service user choice, involvement, and empowerment, working collaboratively to ensure services are coordinated and aligned towards achieving goals and positive outcomes for each client.
- To build and develop service users' personal strengths and social networks in the UK and/or their country of origin.
About You:
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working in a similar field.
- Be able to work with confidence and patience with clients who are unwilling to engage with services and those who exhibit challenging behavior.
- Be able to work unsociable hours as required.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills.
- Be proactive and able to work independently with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Be able to manage change successfully, prioritizing the needs of service users.
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to following and applying necessary safeguards.
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden professional knowledge and skills, and contribute to the learning and development of others.
