We are in search of a skilled Financial Operations Associate to bolster our finance department as the organization continues to expand.
The Financial Operations Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our financial systems by overseeing cash flow and processing payments to vendors and suppliers. As a vital member of our Finance team, the Associate will facilitate the accurate, efficient, and timely processing, tracking, and recording of financial transactions. This position will have a significant daily impact on our financial operations, ensuring we remain punctual and maintain strong relationships with our esteemed partners.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days spent at our headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the entry and processing of transactions within the company's accounting software (SAPB1), covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Employee Expenses, and Purchase Orders, ensuring the correct nominal codes are applied.
- Prepare payment runs for approval and utilize the online banking system to execute payments.
- Generate urgent and essential payments in the banking system as required.
- Ensure all Accounts Payable transactions are recorded in the bank accounts promptly and in accordance with the month-end schedule to facilitate bank reconciliations.
- Oversee and manage the Accounts Receivable ledger.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies related to purchase orders.
- Assist in the preparation of financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure issues are identified and resolved efficiently.
Required Skills:
- Mid-Senior level experience in a comparable role within a dynamic organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities along with excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Prior experience with financial systems in a similar capacity, ideally SAP Business One.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, filtering, and pivot tables.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, solve problems, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- A methodical and thorough approach complemented by a flexible and proactive attitude.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and creativity in response to evolving needs and situations.
