About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker - Regulated Service to join our dynamic team at the British Red Cross. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional assistance to individuals in their own homes, assessing their needs and creating personalized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide flexible and responsive support to individuals, prioritizing their needs and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Assist and enable individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and evaluate individuals' progress, adjusting care plans as needed to promote optimal recovery and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of interactions, care plans, and progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar care setting, preferably within a healthcare or social care environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of person-centred care principles and a commitment to upholding dignity and autonomy.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
