Position: SEMH Maths Teacher

Location: Lincoln

Leader Recruitment Group is collaborating with an independent educational institution specializing in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Maths Teacher to engage with students identified as having SEMH challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to a small group of students diagnosed with various SEMH conditions.
  • Implement individualized learning strategies.
  • Update and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Supervise and mentor a team of learning support assistants.
  • Actively contribute to the teaching team.
  • Monitor and support the academic and personal development of students.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that enables students to thrive.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is mandatory.
  • Specialization in Mathematics.
  • Ability to engage with students and staff in a friendly manner.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Dynamic, resilient, and adaptable.
  • Passionate about inclusive education.
  • Patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Genuine interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Therapeutic and holistic teaching methodology.
  • Diverse lesson planning to cater to various learning levels and abilities.
