The Community Engagement Officer, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, plays a vital role in ensuring that resident concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clear and precise communication with residents regarding the scope of work, including timelines and project updates.
  • Identify and accommodate the needs of vulnerable residents, handling all matters with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Effectively manage challenging situations and maintain a positive relationship with residents and the company.
  • Provide briefings to tenants on safety and security protocols.
  • Organize and attend resident engagement events, ensuring that attendees are informed about the progress of the project.
  • Oversee the handover process to ensure a smooth transition upon project completion.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with housing associations or in a similar environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer role or public sector customer service is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with quality assurance processes.
  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, a positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit.
  • A valid driving license is required.

Flexibility is essential, as there may be occasions when work outside of standard hours or on weekends is necessary.
