Position Overview

The Orthopaedic Physiotherapy department is seeking a motivated and committed Physiotherapy Support Specialist to become a vital member of our established team on a fixed-term basis.

Our institution is recognized for its excellence in patient care and is dedicated to providing high-quality rehabilitation services.

The physiotherapy team consists of experienced physiotherapists and support staff who collaborate closely to deliver comprehensive care for patients with various orthopaedic conditions.

We are looking for candidates who possess strong communication abilities and thrive in a dynamic team setting. Previous experience in a healthcare environment and working within a multidisciplinary team is advantageous. The successful candidate will benefit from a supportive work atmosphere with ample training and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist registered physiotherapists in managing a diverse caseload of orthopaedic patients.
  • Engage in practical tasks such as aiding physiotherapists in mobilizing patients post-surgery and supporting them with therapeutic techniques.
  • Facilitate the teaching and execution of prescribed exercise and rehabilitation plans.
  • Support patients with mobility and ambulation.
  • Perform administrative and non-clinical tasks, including equipment management, data collection, and maintaining cleanliness of treatment areas.
  • Receive comprehensive training and support, including the completion of necessary competencies under the guidance of designated supervisors.
  • Participate in weekend physiotherapy services as required, working alongside a registered physiotherapist.
