We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nursing Associate to join our esteemed nursing team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our orthopaedic ward, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Main Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of the nursing process and assist registered nurses in assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating patient care.
- Support individuals with daily living needs, provide person-centered care, and promote health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation.
- Perform and record clinical observations, escalating as necessary, and undertake clinical tasks including cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs.
- Accurately record nutritional and fluid intake, ensuring the privacy, dignity, and safety of individuals at all times.
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize changing priorities and seek advice from registered nurses or other registered care professionals as needed.
- Report back and share information with registered nurses on patient condition, behavior, activity, and responses.
- Essential criteria: Qualified Nurse Associate or soon to qualify.
- Desirable criteria: Experience working in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Essential criteria: Evidence of championing diversity in previous roles and undertaking own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
- Flexible Working: We encourage applicants to discuss flexible working options with the recruiting/line manager.
- DBS Checks: We undertake Disclosure and Barring Service checks on all new employees where the role is eligible for a criminal record check.
- Skilled Worker Visa: Applications for Skilled Worker sponsorship are welcome for those meeting the Visa and Immigration eligibility criteria.
