About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Support Specialist to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of effective sourcing processes for sub-threshold procurements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and lists of existing suppliers on our procurement system, ensuring seamless support for sub-threshold sourcing activities.
  • Ensure that all signed contracts are properly lodged in our contract repository and that contract award notices are published on our procurement platform.
  • Collaborate with our Strategic Procurement Specialist to provide expert advice to Client Services on sourcing sub-threshold procurements, ensuring compliance with public procurement legislation.
  • Utilize your knowledge of contract law and public procurement legislation to provide guidance on sub-threshold procurements, working closely with colleagues to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to promote effective procurement practices and supply chain management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the key steps of the end-to-end procurement process, with a solid understanding of public sector procurement legislation.
  • Ability to manage low-value sourcing activities with precision and attention to detail.
