Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at United Living. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' properties are maintained and works are delivered within the contractual time frames required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the maintenance of properties, ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards and within the agreed time frames.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance operatives, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure that properties are maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Contracts and Operations, to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with United Living's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other external partners to ensure that maintenance activities meet their needs and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English (both at Grade B)
  • Strong organisational skills, including material ordering, multitasking, and time management
  • Appropriate CSCS card
  • Valid driving licence
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certificate valid, not expired
  • First Aid at Work certificate desirable
  • Fire Marshall certificate desirable
  • IPAF desirable
  • Pasma desirable
