CAMHS Mental Health Specialist Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist Practitioner to join our Community CAMHS team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health assessment and intervention, with experience of working with children and young people. You will be able to engage and develop therapeutic relationships with service users, and have a good understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and will be expected to contribute to the development of the service and the improvement of outcomes for children and young people.
The role will involve providing clinical assessments and interventions, as well as contributing to the development of care plans and risk management strategies. You will also be expected to work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure that the needs of children and young people are met.
Key Responsibilities- Providing mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people
- Developing and implementing care plans and risk management strategies
- Working closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure the needs of children and young people are met
- Contributing to the development of the service and the improvement of outcomes for children and young people
- Providing clinical supervision and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. RMN/RN/HV/OT/Clinical Psychology/Social Worker at degree level or higher teaching qualification)
- Registration with relevant professional body
- Educated to degree level
- Qualification in therapeutic approach/modality (e.g. CBT, DBT, systemic family therapy, solution focused, play therapy etc)
