About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital providing specialist care for women with complex care needs.

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, and providing mentorship and support to team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability.
  • Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members.
  • Observe, record, and report all service user changes, and maintain accurate records of care provided.

Requirements

  • A relevant nursing qualification.
  • NMC registration.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach.
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate.
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice.
