Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

  • Delivering high-quality, holistic care to children and young people with complex and palliative needs.
  • Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based nursing interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Taking on leadership responsibilities during shifts, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participating in knowledge sharing and training initiatives in partnership with the learning and development team.
  • Providing care across a flexible shift pattern, including early mornings, late evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience in palliative care or working with children with complex health conditions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Demonstrated innovative and evidence-based practice.
  • Understanding of clinical supervision and reflective practice.

Desirable:

  • Completion of a palliative care course.
