Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Assistant to join a fast-growing accountancy practice in Kent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Tax Manager with compliance tax matters and have the opportunity to contribute to advisory work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Computations: Prepare tax computations for a portfolio of private clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Advisory Support: Assist the Tax Manager and Partners with advisory work across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trusts, Estates, and other areas.
  • HMRC Liaison: Deal with HMRC as required, via email, letter, and telephone.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients as needed.
  • P11D Preparation: Prepare form P11Ds.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure clients are advised of impending deadlines.
  • Team Support: Assist junior members of staff as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AAT or ATT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience, with at least 1-3 years of experience working in an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position.
  • Experience: Experience of preparing tax returns for Manager or Partner review and relevant tax computation software.
