Job Title: Personal Tax Assistant

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Assistant to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Canterbury. This role will involve supporting the Tax Manager with all compliance tax matters and providing opportunities to contribute to advisory work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax computations for a portfolio of private clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Support the Tax Manager and Partners with advisory work across CGT, IHT, Trusts, Estates, and other areas.
  • Liaise with other offices and departments as required.
  • Deal with HMRC via email, letter, and telephone.
  • Liaise with clients as needed.
  • Prepare form P11Ds.
  • Ensure clients are advised of impending deadlines.
  • Assist junior members of staff as required.
Requirements:
  • AAT or ATT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience with at least 1-3 years of experience working in an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position.
  • Experience of preparing tax returns for Manager or Partner review and relevant tax computation software.
