Researcher Position in Social Digital Twin Research

Fujitsu Research of Europe is seeking a researcher to join our Converging Technologies Research Group, working on the Social Digital Twin (SDT) project. The SDT develops solutions to social issues by combining large-scale data with knowledge from various fields, including data science, the humanities, and social sciences.
We are looking for a creative researcher with an interest in software development who can integrate our leading-edge technologies and data sources to create challenging examples of the SDT in action.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate requirements for SDT applications
- Identify suitable technologies and data to fulfill these requirements
- Design and implement proofs of concept or prototype systems to demonstrate the SDT
- Acquire domain knowledge of SDT application areas to communicate the benefits to our stakeholders
- Generate IP and publish work in top academic conferences and journals
- Post-Graduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., PhD or similar)
- Experience in the simulation of complex systems
- Understanding of the principles of software engineering
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming language
- Experience in cloud development environment (e.g., AWS or Azure)
- A track record of writing academic publications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
