Senior Biomedical Scientist

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic Blood Sciences team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality laboratory services and will involve working with advanced automated systems in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Laboratory Assistants, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain registration compliance.
- Participate in clinical trials and contribute to the development of new testing methodologies.
- Provide expert technical guidance to clinical teams and ensure effective communication of complex results.
Qualifications
We invite applications from candidates who possess:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist with relevant experience in a busy Blood Sciences laboratory.
- A BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification.
- An IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Chemistry or a related field.
- Proficiency in utilizing automated laboratory platforms and information management systems.
