About the Opportunity

ESSRecruit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager (Designate) to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our plant, ensuring compliance with local regulations, budgets, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of site staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their roles effectively.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all site activities are conducted in accordance with our quality and safety policies, and that all necessary licenses and permits are maintained.
  • Environmental Management: Develop and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of our operations, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with our services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to implement changes, ensuring that our operations remain competitive and efficient.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mining), or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: More than 5 years of industrial managerial experience, preferably in waste management, power generation, mining, steam plant, or petrochemicals.
  • Skills: Effective communication skills, ability to work with stakeholders, knowledge of environmental legislation and policy, and experience with safety and environmental management systems.
