Senior Motor Claims Handler
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Motor Claims Handler to join our team at MPJ Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Motor Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of motor damage, credit hire, and injury claims from first notification to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and record claims on our in-house system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Conduct liability enquiries, gathering relevant evidence and adjusting reserves in accordance with our realistic reserving philosophy.
- Evaluate quantum, making decisions on liability and negotiating settlements within authority levels.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives.
- Manage cases through litigation, making decisions on fraud, quantum, and liability.
- Monitor and review claims regularly, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in motor claims handling, with a strong understanding of liability, quantum, and reserving.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex claims data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Motor Insurance Directive.
