Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Werfen. As a key member of our finance organization, you will be responsible for preparing all reporting information, performing financial analysis, and participating in special projects for the research and development and digital solutions departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prepare functional reporting packages.
  • Analyze sales, gross margin, SG&A expenses, and capital expenses by product line.
  • Spearhead the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Ensure that investment model (IRR) assumptions are current.
  • Evaluate the profitability of new reagent rental deals.
  • Ensure that reagent rental contracts are properly accounted for.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of gridline pricing, marketing programs, and compensation plans.
  • Interpret financial operating results and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement.
  • Proactively reengineer processes and procedures to reduce time/cost/rework and/or increase accuracy/quality.
  • Continually enhance the quality, reliability, and responsiveness of the information provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; completion of a graduate program in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional environment in an accounting or financial reporting position.
  • Strong working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting and financial reporting.
