North American Insurance Technician

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Insurance Technician role will possess over 4 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with the Forestry sector will be considered a plus.
This position encompasses a variety of business types including multi-class Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers Liability, General Liability, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Property, and parametric insurance (wordings will be provided) across facultative, binder, and treaty arrangements.
While experience with the Global system is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Given the demanding nature of the workload, we seek an individual with a proactive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting documentation, primarily Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) and endorsements, along with some certificate issuance.
- Composing and typing letters, emails, and other forms of correspondence.
- Organizing and maintaining online filing and archiving systems.
- Inputting data into the Global system.
- Securing Bureau signings as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Coordinating extensions to terms of trade.
- Calculating pro-rata and short-rate additional or return premiums.
- Addressing inquiries from brokers and clients, escalating issues as needed to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
- Providing regular updates to the Technical Team Leader regarding ongoing tasks.
- Complying with Group policies and procedures, including maintaining precise records.
