Deputy Director of Finance Opportunity

Dedicate Recruitment is proud to partner with a medium-sized multi-Academy Trust in South East London, seeking an exceptional Deputy Director of Finance. The Trust's strong ethos is centered on excellence in education and being an employer of choice.

We are looking for a technically strong accountant with a broader strategic understanding of how a successful finance function supports and enables delivery of the Trust's vision and strategy. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on statutory and regulatory accounting, actively monitoring ESFA and DfE guidance
  • Oversee the monthly end-to-end payroll process
  • Support the Senior Director of Finance on the presentation of finance statements to the Board and Finance and Audit Committee

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA or ACA
  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent track record in finance with a confident understanding of overseeing finance systems
  • Ability to influence across the board and lead a team of eight staff
