The Courier Manager will oversee all third-party carriers and related contracts, including generating regular compliance and service level reports, ensuring timely claims submissions, and exploring new service options across the UK and Europe.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to advise on and manage operational adjustments and processes to support new carriers and services.
- Manage contracts and ensure compliance for both existing and new carriers.
- Prepare for and participate in regular business reviews, including MBRs and QBRs.
- Produce carrier SLA and compliance reports.
- Handle carrier claims and service level penalties.
- Approve all carrier invoices and investigate surcharges.
- Review carrier routing options to optimize service and costs.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analysis tools to provide insights into carrier performance and opportunities.
- Analyze efficiency across UK and European networks to identify service improvement opportunities and reduce operating costs.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, especially the Customer Contact team, to understand and act on customer feedback, enhancing the overall customer experience.
About You
Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in an operational role within a courier management capacity, particularly in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Familiarity with large-scale B2C parcel networks.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions that directly impact customer experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for data, capable of using visualization tools to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Problem-solving aptitude, comfortable navigating ambiguous and dynamic challenges.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with a track record of delivering cross-functional projects involving various stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills.
