We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Matron to lead our Low Risk and Community Maternity Services team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to women and their families in our community.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a strong background in midwifery and leadership, with experience in managing multiple areas and driving significant change in practice. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of midwives and maternity support workers to deliver excellent patient care
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient safety and outcomes
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways
- Providing leadership and guidance to staff to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in midwifery, with a current registration and a Master's degree or completion within 12 months
- Experience in managing multiple areas and driving significant change in practice
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams
- A clear understanding of the principles of professional accountability and confidentiality
