Catering Operations Supervisor

Serco

Full-time position - 35 hours per week

Working 5 out of 7 days on a rotating schedule with another Catering Operations Supervisor

We are pleased to present a leadership opportunity within our Catering and Retail Services at Serco. Our Catering division manages multiple outlets, providing a range of food and beverage options, as well as hospitality and vending services.

The role encompasses supervising the Catering & Hospitality services, which includes team leadership, financial oversight, food safety compliance, staff development, and adherence to brand standards. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for enhancing the catering offerings, implementing innovative concepts, and broadening product selections to better cater to our staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sufficient staffing across all catering locations
  • Develop and improve retail units, hospitality, and vending services
  • Guarantee compliance with the Food Safety Management System
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with FSMS
  • Oversee and manage hospitality/vending services to other departments
  • Control waste levels and maintain accurate records
  • Efficiently manage staffing levels
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment upkeep
  • Receive, store, and display all materials following established procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience with electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems and cash handling
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work effectively and follow directives
  • Flexible and understanding approach
  • Organized and efficient work style

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications in Allergen Awareness and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)

Experience:

  • Background in catering with professional growth in a retail environment
  • Prior experience in staff management and quality assurance
  • Proficiency in EPOS systems
