Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Agricultural Operations Supervisor to manage and coordinate all facets of our farming activities. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of agricultural practices, a solid background in crop management, and the ability to adopt sustainable farming techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans for crop cultivation, taking into account crop rotation, soil health, and market trends.
  • Engage with stakeholders to establish long-term objectives and goals for the agricultural operations.
  • Supervise all stages of crop production, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting processes.
  • Oversee pest and disease management strategies, ensuring adherence to sustainable farming practices.
  • Prepare and oversee the farm's financial plan, ensuring efficient operations and resource distribution.
  • Analyze financial performance and explore avenues for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of agricultural workers, providing training and support as needed.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of objectives.
  • Manage the upkeep and operation of farming machinery, including tractors and harvesters.
  • Handle the acquisition of essential resources such as seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural inputs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in agricultural management, particularly in sustainable or organic farming.
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of crop management, pest control, and irrigation techniques.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial oversight.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
