Overview of the Position:

We are looking for a committed General Farm Worker to support the operations at our Llysfasi facility. This role is vital for the effective management of our agricultural tasks, particularly in assisting with the milking of our dairy cattle and various livestock and machinery operations, under the supervision of our Farm Manager.

The position involves a work schedule typically consisting of 10 consecutive days followed by 4 days off, which includes one weekend off.

Key Responsibilities:

The General Farm Worker will undertake a diverse range of agricultural tasks. Responsibilities include operating farm machinery, managing livestock care, and assisting in the milking process. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards by ensuring cleanliness in work areas and consistently upholding the health and welfare of our animals. A significant part of this position involves supporting our educational initiatives. You will collaborate closely with instructors to provide practical, hands-on learning experiences for students, ensuring that all farm activities are aligned with educational objectives. The role requires adaptability and teamwork with fellow farm staff to efficiently manage tasks such as feeding and other responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in the agricultural sector
  • Ability to operate various types of agricultural machinery
  • Proficiency in livestock and crop management, including milking
  • Capability to build effective working relationships and demonstrate strong teamwork skills

Welsh language proficiency is preferred for this role.
