Job Title: SEN Teacher

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work across our client schools in Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who must be patient and calm and has a genuine passion for working with children with special needs and supporting them to reach their highest both academically and personally.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual student needs.
  • Support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver lessons to students on a 1:1 basis or small groups upon requirement.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development.
Requirements:
  • A QTS/QTLS/PGCE in Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience of teaching students with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
