Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing quality control processes to prevent defects and errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Testing and Inspection: Conduct thorough product tests and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Goods In Inspection: Inspect all components at all stages of the manufacturing process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Quality Records: Maintain accurate build and inspection records, and ensure that all quality-related documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement activities to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Defect Reporting: Report all defects and quality issues to the Quality Manager, and work with the team to resolve these issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting: Ensure that all incidents of non-conformance are recorded and reported to the Quality Manager.
  • Quarantine Area and Stock Control: Control the quarantine area and stock to ensure that all products are properly stored and handled.
  • Calibrated Tools and Equipment: Control and maintain calibrated tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • ISIR and Inspection Documentation: Prepare and maintain ISIR and inspection documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Capability Studies and QA Functions: Perform capability studies, Gage R&R, and other QA functions as required for various projects and customers.
  • Quality Processes and Systems: Support the development and rollout of the company's quality processes and internal systems.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to support the efficient production of parts.
Requirements
  • Quality Department Experience: Previous experience working in a quality department is essential.
  • Inspecting Electrical Wiring Harnesses: Experience inspecting electrical wiring harnesses is highly desirable.
  • Microsoft Office Packages: Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, is required.
  • Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment: Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
  • System25 Build Assemblies: Understanding of System25 build assemblies is desirable.
  • Cirris Tester: Experience using Cirris Tester is desirable.
