Job Title: Associate Paediatrics Diabetes Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within our skilled team of diabetes specialist nurses and specialist doctors based at Denmark Hill.

About the Role

The Diabetes Centre at King's is at the forefront of advances in diabetes care and provides a number of specialist services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop further skills as a specialist nurse and work collaboratively with colleagues at Princess Royal University Hospital, Intermediate Diabetes Nursing Teams in the Community, Nursing and other HCPs at Denmark Hill, KCH.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner and effectively co-ordinate and deliver an expert nursing service within diabetes.
  • Be involved in the development of evidence-based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
  • NMC Level 1 or Level 15 Registered Nurse.
  • Postgraduate qualification or further studies/course in Diabetes.
