We are currently seeking a Logistics and Quality Control Operative to enhance our team at the Winsford facility.
Role Overview:
This position focuses on ensuring that components are systematically organized and stored, and that they are dispatched punctually and accurately to the appropriate clients, maintaining the expected quality standards as this represents the final phase of quality assurance in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming goods from dismantling operations, verifying that they meet our quality and inventory standards. Conduct visual inspections of second-hand components to assess their suitability for resale, reconditioning, export, or disposal based on established criteria. Clean, photograph, package, and label all components as necessary. Ensure that all items are stored in the correct locations and that our inventory management system is updated accordingly. Utilize a company vehicle for short-distance transfers between local sites. Ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders, selecting and relocating parts for dispatch. Adhere to stocktaking procedures, processing stock movements, and removing any damaged or obsolete items from inventory. Assess returned components to determine their potential for resale, regrading, or disposal. Employ integrated systems to guarantee that all orders are fulfilled to customer specifications, with each item undergoing rigorous quality checks. Fully leverage integrated business systems to facilitate order processing, including software tools. Maintain adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) for all orders, prioritizing specific clients to support our operational model. Collaborate closely with inventory controllers and planners to meet all operational needs.Required Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role. Must possess a valid UK driving license. Awareness of safety protocols in manual handling. Ability to visually identify common defects. Capability to lift and manage heavy items safely. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Benefits Offered:
