Business Planning Director

Welcome to Hovis, a leading bakery brand with over 130 years of experience. We're looking for a skilled Director Business Planning to join our team.
About the RoleThe Tactical Planning Team is responsible for the Bread, Other Bakery & Primary Distribution weekly planning process. As a Director Business Planning, you will ensure the plan meets quality & service targets at optimum cost. You will monitor daily performance against the plan and work with the Operational & Commercial teams to agree corrective actions, as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the Weekly Planner spreadsheet and chair daily operations conference calls to optimise performance and resolve issues.
- Create the Night Before Plan and agree it with sites to maximise utilisation.
- Escalate customer-facing issues to Supply Chain & Commercial stakeholders.
- Identify and implement corrective actions in collaboration with bakery & head office teams.
- Support the strategic planning of key events such as Christmas, Easter, plant maintenance, product launches & promotions.
- Maintain base data in the planning systems.
- Operate the Tactical Planning shift rota, providing Out of Hours contact and holiday cover as agreed.
We're looking for a candidate with 3 years Supply Chain planning experience in FMCG. You should be IT & spreadsheet literate with experience in SAP. Excellent analytical skills, with an eye for detail and capability to make decisions based on numerical and graphical data, are essential.
