We are seeking a highly skilled Export Control Specialist to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant export, import, and nuclear safeguards regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide subject matter expertise on export control policies and procedures
- Design and implement a workflow management system for export control
- Create and maintain export control procedures and manuals
- Develop and deliver export control training programs
- Support and advise on new build and project initiatives
- Authorise End User Undertakings and issue 'Authority to export'
- Manage Global Repository maintenance and updates
- Provide advice and guidance on licensable and reportable items
- Act as the sole contact for Trade Compliance, managing problems, queries, or anomalies
- Lead regular update meetings and ensure open communication with Export Licence Owners and Directors
- Host and organise external audits with ECJU
- Prepare and submit monthly/weekly reports to DESNZ
- Submit annual reports to ECJU
- Respond to DESNZ 'inward assurance' requests
- Notify DESNZ of initial use of new licences
- Prepare quarterly and annual additional protocol reports
- Ability to interpret instructions relating to regulatory compliance
- Relevant experience of trade compliance in relation to nuclear fuel, technology, and goods
- Previous experience of working closely with UK Government departments
- Knowledge of the UK Strategic Export Control Lists
- Professional qualification relevant to the role or a minimum of two years' experience
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant good practice regarding export control
